Until recently, the fuel tank on the second-generation pajero made of stainless steel was the subject of dreams for the owners of these cars. Currently, the market presents a fuel tank produced by the Republic of Belarus made of stainless steel for the Mitsubishi-Pajero SUV of the Second generation.
First advantage
Our fuel tank is made of stainless steel AISI304, colloquially called food grade. This is an alloy containing nickel in its composition, which is why our fuel tanks will not rust even after decades. Due to the anti-corrosion properties of AISI304 stainless steel, our tanks are ready for installation and do not require additional corrosion protection.
Second advantage
The steel grade AISI 304 allows us to say that the strength of the walls of the tank from it is one and a half times higher than the strength of the original tank. With a thickness of 1.2 mm, the walls of the tank have the same strength characteristics as black iron, with a thickness of 2 mm.
Third advantage
The fuel tank of our production has an increased capacity, which is 115 liters, which should please lovers of long trips.
Fourth advantage
Our fuel tank on the Pajero 2 is installed on all standard car mounts, without any alterations. Native ones are used: Filling pipe and overflow hose. The fuel gauge and fuel intake are mounted on native seals. This makes installing our fuel tank on your Pajero 2 simple and fairly quick. Fifth advantage Our fuel tank is equipped with a drain plug, which makes it possible to quickly drain the fuel sludge and the fuel of poor quality that has fallen into the tank.
The sixth advantage In our fuel tank, in the area of the fuel receiver, a basket of fuel retention is mounted. Thus, the probability of air intake of the fuel system is minimized.
Seventh advantage If it is necessary to replace the fuel receiver, a stainless steel fuel receiver can be installed in our fuel tank.
Eighth advantage Our fuel tank does not need additional operations such as: washing, drying, painting, fitting, etc. All of the above gives undeniable advantages to the fuel tank made of stainless steel produced in the Republic of Belarus over all other manufacturers.

Buck Pajero 2. Original
As you know, the Mitsubishi automobile brand prefers to use iron fuel tanks in the design of its cars. The fuel tank for the Pajero 2 was no exception. As a result, as on other SUVs of this Japanese manufacturer, the main trouble is the corrosion of the walls of the fuel tank. True, with the problem of through rotting of the fuel tank, the owners of the Pajero 2, face much later than the owners of the third and fourth generations of the Pajero. As a rule, the first to make itself felt is the rusted fuel intake on the Pajero 2. Diesel versions of the car are especially susceptible to this ailment. Characteristic symptoms of a rotten fuel intake in the Pajero 2 tank are: – a long start of the engine, due to air suction through damage in the main of the fuel intake; – The appearance of the so-called "fogging" of the fuel tank. At the same time, there is no direct leak in the tank area. With such a malfunction, the Pajero 2 can be operated for quite a long time until a long start turns into an engine failure to start. Having identified a faulty part, the owners begin to search for a new part. Then, having learned the cost and terms of its delivery, the search area is shifted to the sector of used spare parts. But even here not everything is smooth. Finding a used but well-maintained fuel intake on the Pajero 2 is a daunting task.
Someone is trying to solder and then replace the rusted tubes, but it turns out that the tubes are soldered into the flange of the fuel intake with a brass alloy, and for working with brass soldering iron is not enough. Often, the case ends with cold welding, sealant or something similar. Such a solution does not add confidence in the process of operation of the already not new car.
Delivery of the tank to Moscow takes one working day. To the European part of Russia 3-4 days.
After a short period of time, the owner of the Pajero 2 begins to notice the leakage of fuel in the tank area. Thinking it's a well-known fuel intake, the owner discovers, to his horror, that the tank itself has now leaked. The price of a new original fuel tank is not just frightening, but maddening! It is comparable to the cost of the car itself!
