Until recently, the fuel tank on the second-generation pajero made of stainless steel was the subject of dreams for the owners of these cars.  Currently, the market presents a fuel tank produced by the Republic of Belarus made of stainless steel for the Mitsubishi-Pajero SUV of the Second generation.

As you know, the Mitsubishi automobile brand prefers to use iron fuel tanks in the design of its cars. The fuel tank for the Pajero 2 was no exception. As a result, as on other SUVs of this Japanese manufacturer, the main trouble is the corrosion of the walls of the fuel tank. True, with the problem of through rotting of the fuel tank, the owners of the Pajero 2, face much later than the owners of the third and fourth generations of the Pajero. As a rule, the first to make itself felt is the rusted fuel intake on the Pajero 2. Diesel versions of the car are especially susceptible to this ailment. Characteristic symptoms of a rotten fuel intake in the Pajero 2 tank are: – a long start of the engine, due to air suction through damage in the main of the fuel intake; – The appearance of the so-called "fogging" of the fuel tank. At the same time, there is no direct leak in the tank area. With such a malfunction, the Pajero 2 can be operated for quite a long time until a long start turns into an engine failure to start.
